Aircraft supplies to lead to NATO’s direct involvement in conflict — Russia’s UN mission

"So imagine that these planes are starting from Poland, entering the Ukrainian air and going back to Poland for maintenance. Will Poland be involved in this case? I think so. It’s direct involvement," Dmitry Polyansky emphasized

UNITED NATIONS, March 10. /TASS/. Possible fighter jet supplies to Ukraine will lead to NATO’s direct involvement in the conflict, Russian First Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations Dmitry Polyansky said in an interview with The Dive YouTube channel.

"There are a lot of indicators that the West is not willing really to accept the realities and they want to escalate the situation, they want to send new and new arms," he noted. "Now, there was a decision on tanks, which will not of course change the situation on the battlefield. Then, some people are speaking about planes. I don’t know whether this is real or not but planes will imply a lot of things and it might imply the direct involvement of NATO countries for maintenance and airfields because there are not so many airfields in Ukraine that can be used for this," Polyansky added.

"So imagine that these planes are starting from Poland, entering the Ukrainian air and going back to Poland for maintenance. Will Poland be involved in this case? I think so. It’s direct involvement," the Russian diplomat emphasized.
