Kazakhstan to boost oil exports to 70.5 mln tons in 2025 — Energy Ministry

In 2024, Kazakhstan lifted 87.7 mln metric tons of oil. A minor dip against the target is explained by maintenance activities at Tengiz and Kashagan oilfields and temporary restrictions related to international agreements, the ministry noted

ASTANA, February 26. /TASS/. The Energy Ministry of Kazakhstan plans that oil exports will grow from 68.6 mln metric tons to 70.5 mln metric tons this year, the press service of the ministry said.

"Kazakhstan exported 68.6 mln metric tons of oil in 2024. In 2025, exports are planned to be 70.5 mln metric tons. Main purchasers of Kazakh oil are countries receiving it over CPC, Atyrau-Samara and Atasu-Alashankou pipelines, and through the port of Aktau," the press service said.

In 2024, Kazakhstan lifted 87.7 mln metric tons of oil. A minor dip against the target is explained by maintenance activities at Tengiz and Kashagan oilfields and temporary restrictions related to international agreements, the ministry noted.

"In 2025, plans are to produce 96.2 mln metric tons of oil. Production is expected to grow in the first instance owing to the expansion project in the Tengiz Field, which is to become operational as early as in the first half of the year. The work on the Karachaganak Field and on the Caspian Sea shelf continues," the press service added.
