Common electricity market to drive prices down for Russia, Belarus

It is reported that interaction in the energy sector is deepening

MINSK, December 6. /TASS/. Creation of a single electricity market will make it possible to reduce prices for end consumers in Russia and Belarus, President Vladimir Putin said.

"Interaction in the energy sector is deepening; the process of common oil and gas markets creation continues; the agreement of establishing the common electric power market was agreed and is ready for signing today," the Russian leader said at the meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Union State of Russia and Belarus.

"Such a decision will make it possible to reduce prices for end consumers both in Russia and Belarus," Putin added.
