Belarus ready to produce components for Russian aircraft — Lukashenko

The Belarusian leader also noted huge potential of cooperation between the two countries in the area of IT and digital economy

MINSK, April 13. /TASS/. Belarus is ready to start producing component parts for Russian aircraft, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said at a meeting with President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov on Thursday.

It was noted at the meeting that Kazan Aviation Plant had returned to mass production of Tu-214 passenger airliners.

"Having maintained the required expertise and production capacities in Belarus, we are ready to start producing a number of components," SB. Belarus Segodnya, a media outlet, quoted Lukashenko as saying.

The Belarusian leader also noted huge potential of cooperation between the two countries in the area of IT and digital economy.

Earlier, the republic said that Minsk Civil Aviation Plant 407 and Kazan Aviation Plant intended to sign a roadmap for production of component parts for Tu-214s.
