Central banks of Russia, Tajikistan agree to cooperate in fighting cyberattacks

According to the National Bank of Tajikistan, the agreement focuses on strengthening information security, developing a strategy to identify the factors of cyberattacks, and eliminating their consequences in banking systems

DUSHANBE, September 15. /TASS/. Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan Hokim Kholiqzoda and Deputy Chairman of the Bank of Russia Ruslan Vesterovsky signed an agreement on interbank cooperation on countering cyberattacks, press service of the National Bank of Tajikistan announced on Wednesday.

"The signing of an agreement on the interaction between our banks on countering cyberattacks is a timely and necessary step to protect the banking system of both countries from information threats," Kholiqzoda said.

In turn, Vesterovsky stressed that both banks have established fruitful cooperation in most sectors and noted that the integration of national payment systems is a vivid confirmation of such cooperation.
