MOSCOW, April 4. /TASS/. The Russian Armed Forces’ Battlegroup West has successfully thwarted an attempt by the Ukrainian armed forces to regroup its reserves in the direction of the Kupyansk front, Battlegroup West Spokesman Sergey Zybinsky reported.

"The 2S3 Akatsiya self-propelled artillery piece of the 1st Guards Tank Army has thwarted the enemy’s attempt to regroup its forces in the vicinity of the settlement of Krakhmalnoye," Zybinsky said. According to the spokesman, after a Russian special forces reconnaissance brigade had detected a Ukrainian rocket and artillery depot, the weapons stockpile was wiped out by fire from a D-20 howitzer.

"A Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft missile system has also taken out a Valkyrie drone," the spokesman added.
