Chechen forces control Svetlanovo railway station in LPR, head of Chechnya says

Ramzan Kadyrov noted that the fighters take care for civilians near the contact line

GROZNY, June 9. /TASS/. Fighters of the Akhmat Kadyrov special police unit gained total control over the strategically important Svetlanovo railway station in Lugansk People’s Republic, head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov announced in his Telegram channel Thursday.

The railway station is located 20 kilometers south of Lisichansk, near settlements o Kamyshevakha and Zolotoye.

"Ukrainian forces at the Svetlanovo railway station succumbed to the pressure of joint forces," Kadyrov said. "This strategically important object is currently under full control of the fighters of the [Akhmat Kadyrov special police unit]."

Kadyrov noted that the fighters take care for civilians near the contact line.

"Be it food, medicine or something else, the guys are ready to aid the locals properly. This is the principal difference between Ukrainian nationalists and soldiers of the joint forces," he added.
