MOSCOW, March 11. /TASS/. Russia’s President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Armed Forces Vladimir Putin has been briefed on today's Ukrainian drone attack on the Moscow Region, Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov has told the media.
"Naturally, the supreme commander-in-chief is being briefed," he stated. "The air defenses did a good job in repelling this attack."
According to the Defense Ministry, 337 Ukrainian drones were shot down over Russian regions in the early hours of March 11, including 91 in the Moscow Region. Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin stated that air defenses successfully repelled the largest UAV attack on the Russian capital to date. Tragically, two people were killed in the Moscow Region, and more than ten others were injured. Several apartment buildings and other facilities sustained damage, and some cars were set ablaze. In response, the Russian Investigative Committee has launched a criminal case for terrorism.
