Shoigu inspects command post of Russia’s battlegroup East in South Donetsk area

The Russian defense minister has heard reports on the organization of counter-battery warfare at a meeting at the command post in the special military operation zone

MOSCOW, October 25. /TASS/. Russian Defense Minister Army General Sergey Shoigu has inspected the command post of Russia’s battlegroup East in the South Donetsk area and heard reports on the current situation, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.·

"Russian Defense Minister Army General Sergey Shoigu during his working visit to the special military operation zone inspected the command post of Russia’s eastern battlegroup in the South Donetsk area. At the command post, the top defense official heard reports from the battlegroup commander and staff officers on the current situation, the nature of the enemy's actions and the performance of combat tasks by Russian troops in the main tactical areas," the ministry said in a statement.

Shoigu received a number of field commanders’ reports on the organization of counter-battery warfare at a meeting held at a command post in the special military operation zone.

“During the meeting at the battlegroup command post, the Russian defense minister heard reports from the commanders of various troop units and military services on how counter-battery warfare is being organized within the special military operation zone. Separately, [Shoigu] heard reports from the heads of relevant services on the battlegroup’s readiness for winter operations and the provision of heating stoves and means for heating personnel,” the statement said.

Sergey Shoigu drew the attention of the command to the timely and sufficient provision of new winter uniforms for all personnel of the battlegroup, as well as the creation of an additional operational reserve of winter uniforms and insulated footwear," the ministry said.
