ASTANA, November 9. /TASS/. The Russian Consulate General will open in the city of Aktau in western Kazakhstan in the near future, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said at a meeting with Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
"The plan is to open the Russian Consulate General in Aktau in the near future. This is very important from all points of view," he said.
Tokayev recalled that the Consulate General of Kazakhstan opened in Ekaterinburg this year. He noted that Kazakh consulates are operating effectively in St. Petersburg, Kazan, Astrakhan and Omsk.
The Russian President is currently in Astana on an official visit.
