MOSCOW, November 16. /TASS/. A groom-to-be was jailed for five days after he decided to deck out a Moscow metro station for a special marriage proposal, the Ostankinsky district court reported on its website on Thursday.

Yevgeny Gritskov was charged with "minor misconduct" and hooliganism after he brought his girlfriend, Anna Mishukova, to the VDNKh metro station where a banquet table had already been set up in the lobby, the court said.

Meanwhile, Gritskov's friends took video of the ceremony, which later got more than 600,000 views on Telegram.

The bride-to-be accepted the proposal but was fined 1,000 rubles ($11.25) by the court.
