GENICHESK, October 23. /TASS/. Russian forces destroyed a Ukrainian army boat and two fire emplacements in the Kherson area, eliminating about 20 enemy troops over the past day in the special military operation in Ukraine, a spokesman for the regional emergency services reported on Monday.

"Dnepr battlegroup units struck enemy forces in the Kherson direction, destroying a boat on the Dnepr River (casualties: five Ukrainian soldiers were killed), a Ukrainian army unit’s weapon emplacement near the settlement of Dneprovskoye (casualties: seven Ukrainian personnel were killed and two others were wounded), a Ukrainian fire emplacement near the settlement of Ponyatovka (casualties: five Ukrainian soldiers were killed and three others were wounded)," the spokesman said.

Russian forces also destroyed a Ukrainian D-30 howitzer with ammunition in the island zone and an enemy Gvozdika motorized artillery system in the Kakhovka direction, the spokesman said.
