The Turkish parliament's foreign affairs commission approved the ratification protocol on Sweden's admission to NATO by a majority vote on December 26

ISTANBUL, December 27. /TASS/. Turkey expects progress on Sweden's NATO accession, Turkish presidential adviser Akif Cagatay Kilic told the TRT Haber TV channel.

"Sweden has made significant steps to fulfill its commitments under the Madrid Protocol (signed in June 2022 on the sidelines of the NATO summit - TASS). Particularly, it concerns the supply of military products. I hope that there will be significant progress in the issue of Sweden's NATO membership in the near future," Kilic said.

The Turkish parliament's foreign affairs commission approved the ratification protocol on Sweden's admission to NATO by a majority vote on December 26. The document has been submitted to the General Assembly for a vote.
