SOCHI, October 24. /TASS/. Russian media watchdog does not see any prerequisites to unblock Instagram and Facebook in the country, head of the agency Andrey Lipov told reporters.
"Today there are no prerequisites for this," he said at the Spectrum forum in Sochi, answering a relevant question.
The Russian authorities blocked Instagram and Facebook social networks in March 2022.
By the decision of the Tverskoy District Court of Moscow dated March 21, 2022, Meta Platforms Inc., which owns Facebook and Instagram, was recognized as extremist in Russia and its activities in the country have been prohibited.
Sochi hosts the annual Spectrum forum on IT regulation policies on October 24 and 25.
