Immigration situation must be comfortable for citizens, Putin says

The Russian president also underscored that all this must be organized in such a way "so that it would also be comfortable for the people living in one or another country on a permanent basis"

MOSCOW, December 9. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin believes that the immigration situation must be comfortable for the citizens. He stated this opinion during the meeting with leaders of CSTO parliaments.

"The concept of migration security and the recommendations on improvement of the legislation on combating illegal immigration have been prepared on time. Both Russia and our partners are interested in this, because everything must be adopted on time, so that the people, who travel within our association from one country to another and work, as well as the local people could feel safe, comfortable and security; so that the arriving people are ready for this work, so that they realize where they come, know the language of the country where they prefer to live and work, and could utilize social benefits and guarantees, both personally and for their families," Putin said.

He underscored that all this must be organized in such a way "so that it would also be comfortable for the people living in one or another country on a permanent basis, who have citizenship of that country, and demand that the state protects their rights and provides guarantees in terms of labor legislation and security."
