Growth of energy consumption in Russia reaches 3.3%

MOSCOW, December 17. /TASS/. The growth of energy consumption in Russia is currently around 3.3%, Head of the System Operator Fyodor Opadchiy said.

"Our growth of energy consumption has reached 3.3% since the beginning of the year, that's a lot," he said.

Opadchiy explained that such figures were due to increased consumption by the population, and "this is the demand that will not roll back".

Earlier, Deputy Energy Minister Evgeny Grabchak reported that by the end of the year energy consumption in Russia will grow by 3-3.5%.
