Russian soldiers shatter illusion of invincible Western military tech — Putin

According to the Russian leader, those being honored "successfully and skillfully used modern technologies, unmanned aerial vehicles, risked their lives to rescue and evacuate wounded comrades" to fulfill their combat missions

MOSCOW, December 8. /TASS/. Russian servicemen have completely dispelled the notion that Western military equipment is invulnerable during the special operation, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a ceremony dedicated to Heroes of the Motherland Day.

Today, the head of state presents a number of servicemen with Hero of Russia gold stars. "These are people from the most diverse regions of our country - from Karelia to the Primorsky Region, people of different nationalities, and all of them, shoulder to shoulder, defending the common, united motherland. They bravely and courageously acted as part of assault groups, commanders - among them very young people - showed their mettle, sometimes in spite of their wounds, led their units, destroyed tanks, other armored vehicles, artillery systems of the enemy, including Western-produced ones. They completely dispelled the myth of their invulnerability," Putin said.

According to him, those being honored "successfully and skillfully used modern technologies, unmanned aerial vehicles, risked their lives to rescue and evacuate wounded comrades" to fulfill their combat missions. "All of those receiving the award today have demonstrated extraordinary bravery. Thank you for your service to your country," the president concluded.
