MOSCOW, April 12. /TASS/. Cooperation between China and Russia is a stabilizing factor of the international policy, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Tuesday.
"Our cooperation in international affairs, including partnership in the UN Security Council as its permanent members, joint stances on defending the UN key role in the settlement of any problems and respect for the international legislature when dealing with different conflicts and crises, is one of the main factors allowing to keep balance and stabilize international conditions," Lavrov said in an interview with Chinese, Japanese and Mongolian media.
According to the minister, such cooperation is extremely important at the time when outside "interference into domestic affairs of sovereign states and attempts to impose on them ways to solve problems undermine stability of the international system, sometimes leading to chaos," so extremists and terrorists benefit from such conditions, as it can be observed in the Middle East and North Africa.
"Taking into account such turbulence in the global policy, situation in the international affairs, the Russian-Chinese strategic partnership, which favors the international legislation, and our practical steps to implement this philosophy are an important stabilizing factor," Lavrov said.
