Zelensky’s pledges of new offensive stem from West’s growing irritation – Kremlin

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky desperately pledges a new offensive amid the West’s growing irritation and tiredness of Kiev, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in an interview with the Moscow. "He is desperately doing it because the collective West’s irritation is mounting, tiredness is growing along with the unwillingness to further give money to Ukraine, supply armaments and ammunition, especially at a time when they need to be supplied in large amounts to Israel," the Russian presidential spokesman said, replying to a remark by journalist Pavel Zarubin about a new offensive announced by Zelensky.

Zarubin posted a fragment of the interview on his Telegram channel.

As the Kremlin press secretary said, this situation makes the Kiev regime more nervous.

"That is why, they are ready to dance any dances, so to speak, just to solicit something. It’s high time for them to understand: it is impossible to defeat Russia," Peskov stressed.

Zelensky announced earlier that Kiev was planning an offensive in 2023 and 2024, even though the Ukrainian army was experiencing "certain difficulties" and failing to achieve the expected success. He made this statement in the wake of Ukrainian Commander-in-Chief Valery Zaluzhny’s confession that the situation had reached an impasse and the Kiev regime’s troops would not be able to achieve a breakthrough at the frontline.

The Zelensky administration said it was discontent with the army chief’s revelations while the Ukrainian president said he did not agree with Zaluzhny’s opinion.
