BELGRADE, January 1. /TASS/. A shooting in a cafe in the Montenegrin town of Cetinje has left at least seven people dead. The attacker escaped from the crime scene, the RTCG television broadcaster has reported.

"Today’s shooting incident at a public catering establishment in Cetinje left several people dead. The armed assailant fled the scene. The Police Department urges everyone to be calm and stay at home. According RTCG, at least seven were killed and, one wounded," the report said. "The attacker killed two minors."

According to the local police department, a 45-year-old man "used firearms, claiming the lives of several people, left the cafe carrying his weapon and fled the scene."

"We inform the public that this is an isolated incident and it is not related to a war between organized criminal groups. Special police units have been dispatched to the scene to deal with the crisis situation," the police said.
