MOSCOW, December 18. /TASS/. Georgia and Azerbaijan have confirmed readiness to export electricity to Russia, Inter RAO Executive Board member Alexandra Panina told reporters, adding that electricity has already been supplied from Azerbaijan.
"We have received an answer. Azerbaijan has replied that it might provide emergency aid in the amount of 250-300 MW. Georgia has replied that <…> it will decide depending on the situation," she said.
Asked whether electricity has already been delivered to Russia from those countries she said: "There have been [supplies] from Azerbaijan."
Panina said earlier that Moscow had requested Azerbaijan and Georgia in respect of the possibility to supply electricity in emergency conditions.
