SIMFEROPOL, December 1. /TASS/. Five people were killed and twelve were injured in a storm that pounded Crimea, regional head Sergey Aksyonov said on his Telegram channel.
"Today, at the emergency meeting of the government commission on preventing and handling emergency situations and ensuring fire safety chaired by Russian Emergencies Minister Alexander Vyacheslavovich Kurenkov, I reported on the process of dealing with the aftermath of dangerous meteorological circumstances. As a result of the natural disaster, 12 people were injured. Unfortunately, five people died," he wrote.
The cyclone that rocked Russia’s Black Sea coast at night and in the morning of November 27 was marked by hurricane winds and massive flooding. The affected regions include Crimea, Sevastopol, the Krasnodar, Stavropol and Rostov regions, the people’s republics of Donetsk and Lugansk, and the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. The weather event damaged homes, caused power outages and traffic problems.
