Kalashnikov receives export certificates for new AK-12, AK-15 assault rifles

Kalashnikov CEO Alan Lushnikov stressed that the company's assault rifles was a highly demanded product

PATRIOT PARK /Moscow Region/, May 22. /TASS/. The Kalashnikov Group has received export certificates for shortened and compact versions of the AK-12 and AK-15 assault rifles, Kalashnikov CEO Alan Lushnikov told reporters.

"We have received permits for export versions of the AK-12K, the subcompact version, and the AK-15, also compact and subcompact, in 7.62mm export caliber. This is a highly demanded product, given the experience our assault troops have gained with the compact version of the AK-12. We developed this weapon jointly with the Airborne Forces Commander, and this year the entire batch was shipped and sent to the front line," Lushnikov said.
