Ukrainians’ morale near Artyomovsk deteriorating, says LPR militia officer

According to Andrey Marochko, Russian forces have not been advancing fast toward Artyomovsk, but their successes have been steady

LUGANSK, November 29. /TASS/. The morale of Ukrainian troops deployed near Artyomovsk in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) has been deteriorating amid heavy losses and poor conditions, Andrey Marochko, an officer with the Lugansk People’s Republic’s (LPR) People’s Militia, told TASS on Tuesday.

"The morale of Ukrainian armed formations near Artyomovsk is deteriorating. They are in low spirits amid heavy losses, poor conditions, a drop in logistical supplies and the recent successes of our troops in this direction," he specified.

According to Marochko, Russian forces have not been advancing fast toward Artyomovsk, but their successes have been steady.

"Our troops have been taking advantageous strategic positions that help them build on their successes later on. Springboards for an offensive are available, and our troops are currently using those," he emphasized.

On Monday, acting head of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) Denis Pushilin said that allied forces were close to encircling Ukrainian troops in Artyomovsk.
