MOSCOW, April 16. /TASS/. Patrul armored vehicles with remote-controlled combat modules will enter service with Russia’s National Guard in the immediate future, National Guard First Deputy Director Sergei Melikov told TASS on Tuesday.
"There are plans to adopt the Patrul armored vehicle with the remote-controlled combat module for service very soon along with the Lada-Vesta and Lada-Granta patrol cars with the special equipment," he said.
Overall, Russia’s National Guard will get about 2,000 modern vehicles, he added.
"They include Patrul armored all-wheel drive vehicles, Tigr special armored vehicles, Federal-42591 armored buses, Esaul armored cars and ATNP-5350 automobiles," Melikov said.
