Russian army destroys Ukraine’s S-300 system with smart artillery shell — military

The shell was targeted by a laser-equipped drone, the Russian Defense Ministry revealed

MOSCOW, March 24. /TASS/. The Russian forces conducting a special military operation in Ukraine have destroyed a Ukrainian S-300 air defense system with a smart artillery shell Krasnopol, the Defense Ministry told the media on Thursday.

"An unmanned aerial vehicle identified the position of a Ukrainian air defense system, which was attacked with a smart artillery shell Krasnopol. The shell was targeted by a laser-equipped drone," the Defense Ministry said.

Earlier, it released images confirming the elimination of the Ukrainian air defense system and a video of a Ukrainian army’s field command center in the Kiev region being hit by a guided Krasnopol shell.
