Putin may disagree with subordinates but always listens to them, says Kremlin

The Kremlin said that the presidential press service did not pick reporters to cover the head of state’s activities based on their creative abliites

MOSCOW, February 6. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin may disagree with his subordinates but he always listens to them, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said at the Media Day forum organized by the Kommersant publishing house.

"There are work activities where various views are expressed, which sometimes are totally opposite. The president absorbs them," Peskov said. "He may agree or disagree with them but all of us have a chance to voice our points of view and try to convince the president," he added.

When speaking about modern-day journalists, Peskov noted that they had to work faster and faster, which sometimes prevented them from thoroughly assessing the situation. The Russian presidential spokesman confessed he would not be able to work as a journalist because he considered this job to be too difficult for him.

Peskov also said that the presidential press service did not select reporters covering the head of state’s activities depending on their creative capabilities. According to him, only security issues are taken into consideration.
