TBILISI, November 19. /TASS/. Trade turnover between Georgia and Russia in January-October of this year amounted to about $2 billion, which is 16.1% down year-on-year, according to data from the National Statistics Service of Georgia.
Russia is the second largest trading partner of Georgia. Over ten months, its share in the volume of foreign trade amounted to 10.8%. Exports of goods from Georgia to Russia during this period exceeded $580.2 million (decreased by 3.8% year-on-year), and imports amounted to more than $1.48 billion (down 0.01%).
In January-October, Turkey ranked first among Georgia's trading partners, the volume of trade with this country amounted to more than $2.63 billion, which is 7.2% up year-on-year. The United States ranked second with trade turnover exceeding $1.72 billion. It is followed by China (more than $1.59 billion), Germany (more than $1.08 billion) and Azerbaijan (more than $1.06 billion). in In January-October, Georgia's total foreign trade turnover amounted to more than $19 billion (an increase of 5.5%). Exports exceeded $5.4 billion (an increase of 7.4%), and imports amounted to about $13.5 billion (an increase of 4.8%). The trade deficit in ten months of 2024 exceeded $8 billion.
