Major supplier of software for construction Autodesk suspends operations in Russia

AutoCAD and 3ds MAX are among the most popular engineering programs of the company

MOSCOW, March 4. /TASS/. A major developer of software for construction and machine building Autodesk has suspended its operations in Russia over the military operation in Ukraine, according to a press release posted on the website of the US company.

"Autodesk is suspending our business in Russia immediately and continuing to comply fully with all sanctions currently in place. We’ll consider further limits to our business in the region should sanctions expand, and as the situation develops," the company said.

AutoCAD and 3ds MAX are among the most popular engineering programs of the company.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on February 24 that in response to a request by the heads of the Donbass republics he had made a decision to carry out a special military operation in Ukraine, stressing that Moscow had no plans of occupying Ukrainian territories. Western countries responded to the actions of the Russian authorities by slapping sanctions against physical and legal entities.
