Regular IAEA staff changeover at Zaporozhye nuke plant takes place

MELITOPOL, December 3. /TASS/. A regular rotation of inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) at the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) has taken place, the nuclear facility reported.

"Another regular changeover of International Atomic Energy Agency staff at the Zaporozhye NPP has successfully taken place. Four experts <...> have begun to conduct safety and security monitoring activities at the nuclear site," the ZNPP said in a statement.

Russian Defense Ministry and National Guard troops, as well as servicemen from the department of the Russian Interior Ministry in the Zaporozhye Region ensured security during the rotation.

IAEA experts have been present at the ZNPP since September 1, 2022 when the chief of the global nuclear watchdog, Rafael Grossi, first visited the nuclear facility.
