First Moon mission in Russia’s modern history set for July 13

The automatic station will become Russia’s first domestic device on a natural satellite of the Earth

MOSCOW, February 23. /TASS/. The launch of the Luna-25 automatic station is scheduled for mid-July, the press service of Roscosmos told TASS.

"The launch of the Luna-25 station is planned for July 13, 2023, taking into consideration the astronomical ‘window’ in 2023," the state corporation said.

The automatic station will become Russia’s first domestic device on a natural satellite of the Earth. The Luna-26 mission is to be launched in 2024, Luna-27 - in 2025, and Luna-28 - in 2027-2028.
