KURSK, March 30. /TASS/. Russian forces are engaged in fierce fighting with the Ukrainian military to retake the last few communities in the Kursk Region, a source in Russia’s defense circles told TASS on Sunday.
"In the Sumy direction, fierce battles are ongoing in Guyevo, on the outskirts of the farmstead Oleshnya, and in the area of Basovka. Our fighters continue to push Ukrainian troops out of Guyevo. Fierce battles are underway in the settlement itself and on its outskirts," the defense source said.
Combat operations continue in the Sumy Region. In particular, in the area of the settlement of Basovka, Russian forces have dislodged Ukrainian troops from a stronghold and are consolidating their gains, he said.
