MOSCOW, March 30. /TASS/. Russian troops liberated the settlement of Zaporozhye in the Donetsk region over the past day in the special military operation in Ukraine, Russia’s Defense Ministry reported on Sunday.
"Battlegroup Center units completed the liberation of the settlement of Zaporozhye in the Donetsk People’s Republic through successful offensive operations," the ministry said in a statement.

"A missile strike on a temporary deployment area of SBU units and formations of special operations forces of Ukraine’s Main Intelligence Directorate destroyed up to 170 Ukrainian militants and foreign mercenaries," the ministry said.

Russia’s Battlegroup North inflicted roughly 70 casualties on Ukrainian troops and destroyed two enemy artillery guns in its areas of responsibility in the Sumy and Kharkov Regions over the past day, the ministry reported.
"In the Belgorod direction, Battlegroup North units struck massed manpower and equipment of three mechanized brigades, an unmanned systems brigade, two assault regiments of the Ukrainian army and two territorial defense brigades in areas near the settlements of Krasnopolye, Ugroyedy, Petrushevka, Prokhody and Miropolskoye in the Sumy Region and Slatino in the Kharkov Region," the ministry said.
In the Kharkov direction, Battlegroup North units inflicted losses on a motorized infantry brigade of the Ukrainian army near the settlement of Volchansk in the Kharkov Region, it said.
The Ukrainian army lost an estimated 70 personnel, an armored combat vehicle, five motor vehicles and two field artillery guns in that frontline area over the last 24 hours, it specified.

Russia’s Battlegroup West inflicted roughly 240 casualties on Ukrainian troops and destroyed four enemy artillery guns and a multiple launch rocket system in its area of responsibility over the past day, the ministry reported.
"Battlegroup West units improved their forward positions and inflicted losses on manpower and equipment of two mechanized brigades, an assault brigade of the Ukrainian army and a territorial defense brigade in areas near the settlements of Kupyansk in the Kharkov Region, Nadiya in the Lugansk People’s Republic, Redkodub in the Donetsk People’s Republic and in the area of the Serebryanka forestry," the ministry said.
The Ukrainian army lost an estimated 240 personnel, two US-made M113 armored personnel carriers, a British-made Dingo combat reconnaissance vehicle, six pickup trucks, four field artillery guns, including three Western-made weapons and a Verba multiple rocket launcher, it specified.
In addition, Russian forces destroyed Nota and Zakhist-AF electronic warfare stations, an Israeli-made RADA radar and an ammunition depot of the Ukrainian army, it said.

"Battlegroup South units improved their tactical position and inflicted losses on formations of a tank brigade, seven mechanized brigades, a motorized infantry brigade, an assault brigade, an airmobile brigade, a mountain assault brigade of the Ukrainian army and a special operations brigade in areas near the settlements of Chasov Yar, Stupochki, Alekseyevo-Druzhkovka, Seversk, Konstantinovka, Nikolayevka, Pleshcheyevka, Ulyanovka, Novoolenovka and Katerinovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic," the ministry said.

Russia’s Battlegroup Center inflicted roughly 510 casualties on Ukrainian troops and destroyed four enemy artillery guns in its area of responsibility over the past day, the ministry reported.
During the last 24-hour period, Battlegroup Center units "inflicted losses on formations of four mechanized brigades, a jaeger brigade, two assault brigades, an unmanned systems brigade, an assault regiment and an assault battalion of the Ukrainian army, a marine infantry brigade and a National Guard brigade in areas near the settlements of Zverevo, Udachnoye, Peschanoye, Kotlino, Mirolyubovka, Shevchenko, Uspenovka, Alekseyevka, Novosergeyevka, Petrovskoye, Krasnoarmeisk and Novotoretskoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic," the ministry said.
The Ukrainian army lost as many as 510 personnel, seven motor vehicles and four field artillery guns in that frontline area over the last 24 hours, it specified.

Russia’s Battlegroup East inflicted more than 140 casualties on Ukrainian troops and destroyed three enemy jamming stations in its area of responsibility over the past day, the ministry reported.
"Battlegroup East units continued advancing deep into the enemy’s defenses and inflicted losses on manpower and equipment of two mechanized brigades, an airmobile brigade of the Ukrainian army, a marine infantry brigade and a National Guard brigade in areas near the settlements of Poddubnoye, Karla Marksa, Volnoye Pole, Razliv, Yalta, Vesyoloye and Zelyonoye Pole in the Donetsk People’s Republic and Maliyevka in the Dnepropetrovsk Region," the ministry said.
The Ukrainian army lost more than 140 personnel, a motor vehicle and three field artillery guns in that frontline area over the last 24 hours, it specified.
In addition, Russian forces destroyed three electronic warfare stations of the Ukrainian army, it said.
Russia’s Battlegroup Dnepr destroys 65 Ukrainian troops in past day
Russia’s Battlegroup Dnepr destroyed roughly 65 Ukrainian troops and an enemy fuel depot in its area of responsibility over the past day, the ministry reported.
"Battlegroup Dnepr units inflicted losses on formations of three mechanized brigades and three coastal defense brigades of the Ukrainian army in areas near the settlements of Novoandreyevka and Stepovoye in the Zaporozhye Region, Dneprovskoye and Sadovoye in the Kherson Region and the city of Kherson," the ministry said.
"As many as 65 [Ukrainian] military personnel, a US-made M113 armored personnel carrier, four motor vehicles, a field artillery gun, an electronic warfare station, an ammunition depot and a fuel depot were destroyed," it said.

"Operational/tactical aircraft, attack unmanned aerial vehicles, missile troops and artillery of the Russian groups of forces struck military airfield infrastructure facilities, ammunition depots, an enterprise assembling unmanned aerial vehicles and their storage sites and massed enemy manpower and equipment in 140 areas," the ministry said.

Russian air defense forces shot down 78 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles and two JDAM smart bombs over the past day, the ministry reported.
"Air defense capabilities shot down two US-made JDAM guided aerial bombs and 78 fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles," the ministry said.
Overall, the Russian Armed Forces have destroyed 660 Ukrainian warplanes, 283 helicopters, 49,030 unmanned aerial vehicles, 601 surface-to-air missile systems, 22,596 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,533 multiple rocket launchers, 23,109 field artillery guns and mortars and 33,530 special military motor vehicles since the start of the special military operation, the ministry reported.
