US-Russian cooperation on ISS runs smoothly, professionally — NASA

The agency did not address the question regarding the potential for expanding cooperation between the two countries, particularly concerning missions to Mars

WASHINGTON, March 28. /TASS/. Cooperation between the United States and Russia on the International Space Station (ISS) is proceeding smoothly and professionally, according to a spokesperson for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), who spoke to TASS.

"NASA, Roscosmos, and our other international partners remain focused on the continued safe and professional operation of the International Space Station in low Earth orbit. International Space Station cooperation continues smoothly, as it has throughout the continuous presence of our joint crews for nearly 25 years," NASA stated.

However, NASA did not address the question regarding the potential for expanding cooperation between the two countries, particularly concerning missions to Mars.

Roscosmos and NASA conduct cross-flights as part of the ISS program, with several American astronauts traveling to the ISS aboard Soyuz spacecraft and some Russian cosmonauts flying on American Crew Dragon spacecraft. Maxim Kharlamov, head of the Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center (part of Roscosmos), informed TASS in January that the ISS cross-flight program had been extended through 2026.
