Russian airports boost passenger traffic to 216.4 mln in 2024 — air regulator

Almost all regional airports set records by the number of serviced passengers, Dmitry Yadrov noted

MOSCOW, March 14. /TASS/. Russian airports serviced 216.4 mln passengers as of the end of 2024, which is 5.1% more than a year earlier, head of the Russian Federal Air Transport Agency, Rosaviatsiya, Dmitry Yadrov said.

"Slightly more than 216 mln passengers were serviced in air hubs last year, which is 5.1% more than 2023 indicators," the official said.

According to his presentation, the passenger traffic surged by 20% to 43.3 mln people in the Sheremetyevo Airport and by 11% to 16.1 mln people in the Vnukovo Airport of the Moscow Air Hub.

Almost all regional airports set records by the number of serviced passengers, Yadrov noted. The increase in passenger traffic was 16.7% to 3 mln people in the Vladivostok Airport, 12% to 4.8 mln in the Kaliningrad Airport, and 9% to 7.9 mln people in the airport of Yekaterinburg.

"Russian airlines and airports in general demonstrate stable financial and economic condition," Yadrov added.
