Ukrainian election should be used for ending violence and starting dialogue, Russian FM

MOSCOW, May 28./ITAR-TASS/. Current situation after Ukrainian presidential elections should be used to stop a military operation, start a nationwide dialogue and carry out a constitutional reform, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov at a meeting with visiting Argentinean counterpart Hector Timerman in the Russian capital on Wednesday.

“We focus attention on increasingly more frequent reports about human rights violations in Ukraine, encroachment on the rights of ethnic minorities and growth of nationalistic and xenophobic moods,” the minister added.

Lavrov also thanked Argentina for its independent position on events in Ukraine.
