DUBAI, March 27. /TASS/. Houthi rebels from the Yemeni Ansar Allah movement launched rocket attacks on the Ben Gurion Airport and an Israeli military facility in the Tel Aviv area, said Yahya Saree, the movement’s military spokesperson.
"The Yemeni missile forces attacked the Ben Gurion Airport with a Zulfikar ballistic missile, and struck a military facility located south of the occupied area of Jaffa (Tel Aviv - TASS) with a Palestine-2 hypersonic ballistic missile," he said on the air of the Houthi-owned Al Masirah TV channel.
"The objectives of the operation have been successfully achieved."
Earlier on Thursday, the Israeli army said it intercepted a rocket outside of Israel launched from Yemen. Air raid sirens were activated, including in the Tel Aviv area.
After the escalation of the conflict in the Gaza Strip, the Ansar Allah movement vowed to shell Israel and not allow any ships associated with it to pass through the Bab el-Mandeb Strait. Since November 2023, the Yemeni Houthis have regularly attacked warships and civilian vessels in the Red Sea, explaining that these actions were their way of showing solidarity with the people of the Gaza Strip.
