MOSCOW, November 14. /TASS/. The mascot of the first "Games of the Future" to be held in Russia’s Kazan will be the firebird of peace.
The mascot, designed by students from Tatarstan, was introduced at the "Russia" exhibition and forum in Moscow at a ceremony marking 100 days before the beginning of the competition.
"One of the oldest cosmic luminaries is a star called Mira. It's about 6 billion years old. Mira means 'amazing' in Latin. The bird and the star are linked together, as they both represent tremendous power and energy. It [the mascot] is ready to share this with the people who are ready to receive it," they announced at the ceremony.
The first "Games of the Future" will be held between February 21 and March 3 in Kazan, the capital of Tatarstan. The competition will be held in new disciplines using modern technologies, digital environment and physical activity. The competition will feature the latest developments in cybersports, robotics, augmented and virtual reality, information technology and artificial intelligence.
