Majority of world's population supports Russia, says General de Gaulle’s grandson

Pierre De Gaulle also said that he was shocked by "the efforts to ban Russian culture in the West"

PARIS, January 16. /TASS/. Russia’s alleged isolation is a delusion, because in reality it enjoys the support of two-thirds of the world’s population, the grandson of the founder of the Fifth Republic General Charles de Gaulle, Pierre de Gaulle, said on France’s Sud Radio in an interview on Monday.

"The West claims that Moscow is isolated, but two-thirds of the world's population supports Russia," de Gaulle said. "We see the economic interests of many countries shift to the East, with Russia being the focus of this process," he said, advising his audience to study the country's geographical map for data showing its subsoil resources.

De Gaulle also said that he was shocked by "the efforts to ban Russian culture in the West."

"This campaign against Russia is politically motivated," he believes.
