Ukraine shells Russia’s Belgorod Region nearly 76 times over day

Gas services have completed the elimination of the consequences, work on the restoration of electricity supply continues

BELGOROD, December 18. /TASS/. The Ukrainian armed forces fired more than 76 different munitions at Russia’s Belgorod Region over the past 24 hours, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said on his Telegram channel.

"In the Krasnoyaruzhsky district, the enemy fired 56 mortar shells at the village of Terebreno. There were no casualties. Three houses were damaged: one was hit by a shell, the windows, the facade and the roof of the second were damaged, a pavilion near the third one caught fire and burned to the ground. The house-to-house inspection continues," he wrote.

Also in Terebreno, electricity and gas lines were damaged. Gas services have completed the elimination of the consequences, work on the restoration of electricity supply continues. "The village Popovka and the outskirts of the village Repyakhovka were also hit, with the enemy firing two shells at each village. There were no casualties or damage," Gladkov pointed out.

In the Belgorod Region, the Ukrainian forces fired one artillery shell at the village of Krasny Khutor and four artillery shells at the village of Naumovka. In addition, an explosive device was dropped on Naumovka from a drone.

In the Volokonovsky district, the Ukrainian forces fired ten grenade shells on the outskirts of Stariy. In the Graivoronsky district, a kamikaze drone attacked a communications infrastructure facility in the village of Novostroyevka-Vtoraya. "A mortar shell was fired on the outskirts of the village of Dronovka. No one was injured, there was no destruction," the governor added.
