Ukraine attacks 13 residential areas in Russia’s Belgorod Region in past day

According to regional Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov, the attacks damaged 15 private houses, four apartment buildings, five cars, three garages and a powerline

BELGOROD, January 1. /TASS/. The Ukrainian armed forces carried out attacks on 13 residential areas in Russia’s borderline Belgorod Region in the past day, regional Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said.

"Four projectiles were fired in four attacks on the town of Shebekino, the settlements of Murom, Novaya Tavolzhanka and Pankov in the Shebekinsky Municipal District. Four drones were downed in the district. A civilian suffered injuries," he wrote on Telegram.

According to Gladkov, the attacks damaged 15 private houses, four apartment buildings, five cars, three garages and a powerline. "The settlements of Ziborovka and Murom lost electricity; emergency teams are working to restore power supplies," the governor added.

Another private house was damaged in a drone strike on the Volokonovsky District.

"Three drones were launched at the settlements of Blizhneye, Vergilevka and Nechayevka in the Belgorodsky District; one of the drones was downed. There were no casualties or damage. <...> In the Krasnoyaruzhsky District, the settlements of Kolotilovka and Demidovka came under fire twice; two projectiles were fired. In addition, a drone was shot down over the district. No damage was reported," Gladkov added.

"A drone was downed over the Valuisky Municipal District; no casualties or damage were reported. Fifteen projectiles and an FPV-drone were launched in four attacks on the settlements of Bezymeno, Mokraya Orlovka, Kozinka and Novostroyevka Vtoraya in the Graivoronsky District. There were no casualties or damage," the regional governor said.
