NEW YORK, January 1. /TASS/. One person was killed and seven others were injured in the explosion of an electric Cybertruck pickup truck outside the 64-story Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas (Nevada), owned by US President-elect Donald Trump, Las Vegas police chief Kevin McMahill told a televised news conference.
"A 2024 Cybertruck pulled up to the front of the hotel, and in fact I can tell you it pulled right up to the glass entrance doors of the hotel," he said.
"We saw that smoke starts showing from the vehicle, and then a large explosion from the truck occurs. There is one deceased individual in the cyber truck," McMahill said. "I can tell you that there are seven victims right now that sustained injuries from the explosion," he added.
Law enforcement authorities have not yet identified the deceased person.
