Only 3-4% of grain goes to world’s poorest countries under grain deal — Putin

Russian President also noted that the transport corridor, which was created as a result of the grain deal, was used to attack the ships of the Black Sea Fleet

SOCHI, November 1. /TASS/. Russia agreed to the grain deal in the interests of the poorest countries, but only 3-4% of grain gets there, Russian President Vladimir Putin told reporters on Monday.·"This whole process of exporting grain from the territory of Ukraine was organized under the pretext of securing the interests of the poorest countries. And we did it precisely in the interests of these poorest countries. I do not remember exactly the data of the last hours and last days, but on the whole it looks like this: 34% of the grain ends up in Turkey, 35%, a little bit more, in the EU countries. And only 3-4%, according to the Agriculture Ministry, maybe sometimes a little more, up to 5%, this figure changes a bit <...> went in favor of the so-called poorest countries according to the UN classification," Putin said.

"Well, look, is that what we did everything for?" the Russian president exclaimed. He also noted that the transport corridor, which was created as a result of the grain deal, was used to attack the ships of the Black Sea Fleet.
