MOSCOW, November 13. /TASS/. The JSC Rosoboronexport (part of the state corporation Rostec) will continue expanding cooperation with African countries at the Dubai Airshow 2023, Chief Executive Officer of Russia’s state arms export agency Alexander Mikheev told TASS.
"Meetings at such exhibitions pave the way to signing contracts, and we invariably get solid groundwork for fruitful activities in the future. No doubt we will continue developing partnership with African countries within the framework of the exhibition through lines of cooperation drafted at the Russia-Africa summit in St. Petersburg," he said.
Rosoboronexport CEO also spoke about the talks that will take place at Dubai Airshow. "At Dubai Airshow we traditionally meet partners from Middle East and North Africa visiting this airshow, one of the largest in the world. Moreover, delegations from the Asian-Pacific region, countries of Africa South of the Sahara, Latin America and the CIS come to the exhibition. The business program is very rich and we try to find time to discuss current and promising projects, compare positions with all partners," he noted.
Moreover, Russia’s integrated pavilion will represent the country’s largest military producers, Mikheev added. "The exposition contains over 250 samples of modern products, including around 200 ones from Rostec’s enterprises," he said.
The Dubai Airshow is one of the world’s largest aerospace exhibitions, held biannually. Russia has been a participant in the Dubai Airshow since 1993. This year, 20 national pavilions at the Dubai Airshow will showcase over 180 aircraft made by more than 1,400 manufacturers. The Dubai Airshow 2023 is running from November 13 through 17.
