US to provide additional $500 million of economic aid to Ukraine — Biden

These funds are being allocated for stabilization of economy and payment of salaries, the US President specified

WASHINGTON, April 21. /TASS/. Washington will provide additional $500 million as economic aid to Kiev, US President Joe Biden announced Thursday.

"Today, the United States is announcing that we intend to provide additional $500 million in direct economic assistance to the Ukrainian government," he said.

According to Biden, this package brings total US economic aid provided to Ukraine in the last two month to $1 billion.

The US President specified that these funds are being allocated for stabilization of economy, payment of salaries and provision of necessary services to the people.
