Kazan kicks off Chinese Film Days with comedy drama about young dancer

Film screenings are held in the Mir Cinema

KAZAN, 13 November. /TASS/. Chinese Film Days in Kazan have opened with a screening of the comedy drama "One and Only" about a young street dancer, TASS reports.

Director of the Tatarkino Film Studio Milyausha Aituganova told TASS that during the festival viewers will be able to see five films that have gained the most popularity in China over the past two years. The films delve into people's feelings, emotions and experiences, which are understandable and familiar to viewers all over the world, according to the director.

"These films have been distributed not only in China but also in other countries and have already received some kind of recognition. We will show them for three days and all the theatres are already full," she said.

The screenings will take place at the Mir Cinema. The program also includes Chinese film distribution hits - sports comedy drama 'Yolo: You Only Live Once', which became the highest grossing Chinese film of 2024, the melodrama 'Love Never Ends', the crime thriller 'An Endless Journey' and the sports drama 'Ping Pong: The TRIUMPH'.

Chinese Film Days in Kazan will be an important part of the cultural program of the International Forum Rostki: Russia and China - Mutually Beneficial Cooperation, which will be held in Kazan from 13 to 15 November. The forum's business program includes 70 sessions on trade, investment, technology, logistics, petrochemicals, agriculture, education, tourism and other topics. More than 10,000 participants, including representatives of 69 Russian regions and 26 Chinese administrative divisions, are expected to attend the event, which will also feature the Russia China Expo international exhibition and a rich cultural program.
