CHELYABINSK, December 5. /TASS/. The Kremlin highly estimates Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi’s role in the development of Russian-Italian relations, Russian president’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov said on Monday, commenting on Renzi’s possible resignation following the failed constitutional reform referendum.
Peskov refrained from comments on the referendum but stressed that Renzi was an advocate of constructive dialogue with Russia and his contribution to the development of bilateral relations "can hardly be overestimated."
"We highly appreciate his role," the Kremlin spokesman stressed.
