Putin thanks Austria for careful attitude to memorials of Soviet soldiers perished in WW2

MOSCOW, April 6. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday thanked the Austrian authorities and people for gentle attitude towards memorials of the Soviet soldiers, killed during the World War Two in the Austrian territory.

"We appreciate careful attitude of Austrian government, people and authorities to the memorials of the Soviet soldiers, perished during the fights for Austrian liberation from Nazism," Putin said.

The president noted that last year the second edition of the book dedicated to 80,000 that died in Austria during World War Two was published.
