MOSCOW, November 26. /TASS/. The Russian Ministry of Agriculture is thinking about growing bananas in the country, hinting that this could happen in the future, Minister Oksana Lut said.
"We are already pondering the idea of growing bananas. I was in Kazakhstan last week. Kazakhstan started growing bananas in greenhouses. Who knows, maybe we can do that too. Although, for now, Ecuadorian bananas are cheaper, but things are changing," the minister said.
Lut highlighted the export potential of agricultural products, given that certain parts of the world do not have a climate conducive to growing things. "We grow different things, and help out many countries, particularly those within BRICS," she added.
