The OPEC+ Ministerial Monitoring Committee will meet in a videoconference format

MOSCOW, April 2. /TASS/. OPEC+ nations don’t plan to call off a monitoring committee meeting scheduled for April 3 after several members of the alliance announced voluntary oil production cuts until the end of 2023, two sources in the delegations told TASS on Sunday.

"Yes, tomorrow as scheduled," one of the sources said when asked whether the OPEC+ monitoring committee meeting is still topical.

Another source also said that there are no changes in the schedule.

Earlier in the day, several OPEC+ countries announced voluntary production cuts: Saudi Arabia - by 500,000 barrels a day from May until the yearend, the United Arab Emirates - by 144,000 barrels a day, Iraq - by 211,000 barrels a day, Kuwait - by 128,000 barrels a day, Oman - by 40,000 barrels a day, Algeria - by 48,000 barrels a day, and Kazakhstan - by 78,000 barrels a day. Russia will extend its decision on production cuts of 500,000 barrels a day until the end of the year.

The OPEC+ Ministerial Monitoring Committee will meet on April 3 in a videoconference format. The committee includes eight countries out of 23 who participate in the agreement, namely Russia, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Kuwait, Algeria, Venezuela, and Kazakhstan.
